Abstract submission guidelines

Submission deadline: January 21, 2026 - February 28, 2025 (now open)

The 15th International Precipitation Conference (IPC15) invites the international scientific community to submit abstracts for oral and poster presentations, with both in-person and full remote participation options available.

IPC15 will take place in Coimbra, Portugal, in June 2026, and will be delivered as a hybrid conference, allowing participants to attend on site in Coimbra or remotely, with equal opportunity for presentation, discussion, and engagement.

IPC is a long-standing forum dedicated to advancing the understanding of precipitation processes across scales, from microphysics to climate, and from fundamental science to operational and societal applications. IPC15 continues this tradition, with a strong emphasis on interdisciplinary dialogue, methodological innovation, and real-world relevance.

We are pleased to open the Call for Abstracts for IPC15. Submit your abstract here.

Abstracts should present original work and clearly describe objectives, methods, key results, and relevance to the selected session. Submissions are welcome for both in-person and remote presentation formats and will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee and Session Conveners.
