IPC15 Panel I
Private Sector in Precipitation and Climate Science: From Data to Impact

June 16, 2026, 09.30 WEST. In person and remote

This panel will explore how private companies including Tomorrow.io, Development Seed, Weather Stream, OWL, and others and discuss their role in expanding the reach, quality, and impact of precipitation and climate science and applications. In particular, the discussion will focus on how the private sector can work with public agencies, academia, and international initiatives to strengthen operational services, support better decision-making, and accelerate the translation of data into real-world impact.

As climate risks intensify and the demand for reliable, actionable information grows, partnerships between public and private actors will be essential to ensure that science serves society effectively, responsibly, and at scale. Join the discussion in this dynamic session, designed to foster dialogue and exchange of ideas.

Participation is free, but registration is required. A limited number of seats is available, so early registration is encouraged. IPC15 panels are open to registered IPC15 and external participants as well.
